Ellie Yang Camp is an artist, writer, and community educator from the San Francisco Bay Area. The proud daughter of Taiwanese immigrants, she is the author of Louder Than the Lies: Asian American Identity, Solidarity, and Self-Love (Heyday, 2024), a book that demystifies Asian American racial identity and the confusion of being stuck in the “middle” of the Black-white binary. Her previous lives include being a high-school history teacher, a full-time parent, a professional calligrapher, and an anti-racist educator.
